Privacy policy

This website uses no analytics, no tracking and loads nothing from foreign servers – not even fonts. Hence there is no cookie banner: there is nothing we would need consent for.

Personal data only arises when you write to us or submit a request – and in the technically unavoidable server log.

When you open this website our host (STRATO AG, Germany) automatically processes data transmitted by your browser: the address requested, the time, the volume transferred, browser type and operating system, the referring page and the IP address.

Purpose and legal basis: operating and securing the website, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in delivering the site free of technical faults and protected against attack.

Retention: log files are deleted after a short period; we do not evaluate them by person and do not combine them with other data.

If you use the contact form or the form “Request an organisation”, we process what you enter in order to handle your enquiry: name, email address, and where given organisation, role, size of the body and your message.

Legal basis: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns steps prior to a contract, otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries).

Retention: until the enquiry is settled and no retention obligation applies. Organisation requests are kept until they are decided and thereafter as long as necessary for the contractual relationship.

To fend off automated submissions we store a truncated network segment of the IP address with organisation requests (the last part is removed), not the full address.

A technically necessary session cookie is set so the form can be protected against cross-site submissions. It holds no analytics data and expires when the browser closes.

You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21 GDPR).
